Accessibility statement

Last updated: October 14, 2026

At Social Minds we want everyone who visits our website to be able to find their way around, read it and get in touch with us easily, including people with disabilities. We are working to make the site accessible in line with the Israeli Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 2013, and Israeli Standard IS 5568, which is based on the WCAG guidelines at level AA.

Accessibility status

The site was redesigned and rebuilt in October 2026 and adapted to WCAG 2.1 level AA as part of that work. We tested it with an automated checker (axe) and with manual checks of keyboard navigation, color contrast, heading structure, alternative text and mobile display. The site has not yet been audited by a certified accessibility consultant or fully tested with screen readers, and we keep improving it.

What we have done

  • Full keyboard navigation, with a clearly visible focus outline and a "Skip to main content" link.
  • Text and background color contrast that meets level AA.
  • A logical heading structure and labelled page regions.
  • Alternative text for every image. The videos on the site have no soundtrack; each has a description and play and pause controls.
  • Language and direction markup (Hebrew right to left, English left to right), with a switch between the Hebrew and English versions.
  • A layout that adapts to mobile and to zoom up to 400% without horizontal scrolling.
  • Respect for the operating system's "reduce motion" setting.
  • Screen reader notice for links that open in a new window.
  • Images can be enlarged with a click or the Enter key.

Known limitations

  • The site runs on Squarespace, which does not offer Hebrew as a site language. The page-level language is therefore set to English, while Hebrew content is marked as Hebrew.
  • An enlarged image closes with a click or the Enter key, not the Esc key.
  • Some platform system pages, such as search and the error page, use Squarespace components that we cannot fully control.
